    New places to bikepack

Well the wife and I finally both have decent bikes and ride res pass and Russian lakes quite a bit in the summer but as awesome as they are I am hoping to go on some different adventures this year. Anyone have some good ideas they would be willing to share? We aren't in great shape but that doesn't stop us from doing Cooper to Hope in a day and stuff like that. We live in Sterling but don't mind driving a bit if needed.

Do people bike the gas line roads in the refuge north of Sterling towards Hope? I know in the winter they were good trails. Head south into the caribou hills may be fun or a mud fest depending on the season. Oil well road Ninilchik to Ohlson Mt road in Homer.

I have been thinking about this for sure. I actually met John in Nikiski when they started their trip. Very nice people!
