MTB Newbie Looking for tips/riding partner(s)

I'm dependable, have zero issue with early AM rides, and will do my best to make up what I lack in experience with enthusiasm.

Anyone mind a tagalong who wants to learn the trails or suggestions on good places to find other riders?

[29yo F, moderate overall fitness, experience with road cycling]

I'm always up for rides. I'll be found in Kincaid, on the coastal trail, North Bicentennial and the surrounding areas.

Usually 20+ mile rides. Enjoy the views. Hit the trail hard between stops.

Planning on a powerline to Indian back up the highway to Anchorage,
    a trip out to hope

@hbbra16, Dang! That sounds like an epic trip. I haven't done anything that long yet, I need to warm up to that (still getting the hang of gears and not being afraid of roots.)

@LicketySplit & Oldcabin23 (and anyone else who'd like to join):

Anyone up for a 9 AM Saturday morning ride out of S. Bivouac trailhead, (North Bicentennial) maybe do some of the ski trail loops west of Hilltop? I'm thinking a fairly short ride, maybe 2 hours or so. I'm always up for earlier rides too.

On Wednesday's the folks from Speedway Cycles have been riding either Hillside STA or Kincaid STA trails at 7pm. Backcountry Cycles has had some rides at 630pm on Wednesday in the Palmer/Wasilla area. Chain Reaction Cycles, Trek Store of Anchorage and Paramount Cycles have also had weekly shop rides. Try calling the respective shop and get information. Or you can check their facebook pages.
