Kona Dawg Deluxe vs Rocky Mtn ETS X-10

I have a friend struggling on which bike to buy. Anybody have an opinion on the two bikes. Which one should he buy? THanks for any thoughts.

    Of course

If dropping 4g's on a bike was reasonable on any planet, he would just do that. As is, he's a new rider and looking to go riding with me. Poor bloke. Trying to keep up with a 5 spot on one of those bikes will be a trick, but he'll have to manage.

    I'd say Kona

If he's anywhere near as strong as you, he'll have no trouble getting an ETS X rear to wag. Unless there's been a design improvement this year, they've been known to lack rear lateral stiffness. Besides.....the Kona is a Turner wannabe!

    Kona

There's a Kona Dawg for sale at the pawn shop on the corner of Spenard and Benson. Thousand bucks. Don't know any specifics- a co-worker told me about it.
