Sounds Awesome. Thank you Tony and BackCountry for what promises to be a great day in the saddle.
Looks like fun - I will be there.

We did a recon of the course last night and here's the lowdown:
From the shop to the gravel road there is approx 20miles of paved road. The gravel section is approx 20 miles with the first 6 being somewhat rougher and the last 14 much better graded with some sort of covering spread on the road to keep the dust down. The paved section after the gravel is approx 10 miles to the junction of the Parks Hwy. You will come out just north of Willow. You will be able to get food and beverages at the Willow Trading Post (approx mile 52). From Willow it is 25 miles to Wasilla and than 13 back to the bike shop!
Some things to keep in mind:
SAFETY FIRST! The descent after Summit Lake is steep and within the "rougher" section of gravel. There will also be vehicles on the road. Be especially careful on the Willow side as there are likely to be lots of trucks hauling RV's, hauling 4 wheelers driving fast. We know you're a super hero but....BE SAFE, this ride is about FUN!
Remember, you can have a support vehicle and are allowed to bring multiple bike types if you desire.
The 10am start time is a suggested start time. You can start earlier if you would like.
The route from Wasilla down the Palmer Wasilla Hwy is a suggested route. You can get back to the shop anyway you like.
