    GPRA Status

Headed out to GPRA on Friday 11/13. Lots of good snow, but not a lot of traffic on the single track yet. I was able to ride a bit of both the lower and upper trails before turning around and getting my snowshoes to jog it instead to try to pack it in a bit more. There is a thin ribbon of well-packed base, but the edges are supper soft.

The snow is quite dry right now, so not really packing down that well. That said, I think I may try taking a tire or jet sled out today to try packing it in a bit. We just need to get more traffic on the trails and they will be some awesome riding. If you're thinking of heading up there this weekend, just be prepared to push as well as ride. Or bring your snowshoes and walk a lap to help pack it in.

I was there Friday too. Similar results, I didn't get very far. Talked to Dave M. from the Mat-Su Ski Club who said he was planning on grooming it today (Sunday) with their tracked ATV and drag.
