    Frigid Bits: March 17th update

The trails are like concrete and the single track is marked with orange pin flags !
The ice is slick so if you plan to ride this section I would suggest some protection of some sort. If you choose to only ride the trail section, that ride will take place when the first rider is off the ice.

Also, I'm in dire need of a volunteer to photograph sections of the single track and the other nocturnal activities of a Frigid Bits Tailgater !

    I'll shoot a few

I'll volunteer to use my new Pugsley as the official All-Terrain Documentary Crew Sport-Utility Vehicle of the Frigid Bits Race Series.

My studded bike has been dismembered for component transplants to the Pugs, so I'll be staying off the ice anyway. I'll leave early for the trail portion and find a good spot or two for shooting photos as all you yahoos pass by.
Enjoying the meaningful pursuit of meaningless fun.

Oh yes my first bits event in a while! I canít wait to see all you guys again I will have my camera if someone wants to point and shoot with it.
Is there anything in particular that is needed for the grilling aspect of the race? Or should I just bring what I got?

    Hey Carlos

If it's not spoken for already, how would you feel about letting my girlfriend ride your Fat Bike to Uranus tonight? No big deal if you're afraid she can't handle it.

Bubba - Bring what you got for the grill simple as that. I'm bringing 12 hot links and buns. that should cover a few hungry bikers.

    My skull cap

Hey, Tim - thanks for picking up the skull cap I dropped in the parking lot at the last FB event. I was planning on riding tonights race, but my body decided it wanted to spend last night worshiping the porcelain god.

Please hang on to that cap - I'll catch up with you at the next event.

I just rode to Westchester and back (from Lake Otis) and the trails are super hard. Be careful in the tunnel after the bridge near Valley of the Moon...there is lots of ice and the guy on a bike ahead of me bit it hard (onto his artificial hip). I couldn't tell if he had studs, but I didn't have a problem on my Nokians.

I'll bring a growler or two of my homebrew and my super secret flask concoction. I can't wait to see Tim's Fat Hog!

    Hey Sourdough

Did you forget that St. Patty's day was on Saturday, not Friday? If you had waited a day, you could have raced and then worshipped at the porcelain altar. Hope you're feeling better.

    Missing Your Pack?

I ended up with a small pack camel-back style, when cleaning up Saturday night. Someone said it might belong to Chris from the bike shop. It had a couple of Carlsberg Elephant beers in it. Thats the only unique identifiable stuff in there, other than a couple power bars and a jersey. If anyone knows please respond. thanks.

    empty or full?

Hey Grill Man, were those two tasty adult beverages empty or full? If they were full, I'm certain that if you gave the pack to me that I would locate the home of said beverage container, I mean Camelback. Or are you trying to trick us like the Cialis commercial with all the talk of 4 hour chubbies?

Chris' Pack (aka - Tasty Beverage Container)

Greg, and Chris, I got both your messages on my phone this evening, but a little too late. I had hockey right after work and was there until 10:30 imbibing some of those Tasty Beverages. I'll get the pack to Chris tomorrow. I'll just bring it by the bike shop.

Sorry Greg, but I think it's best I personally return Chris' stuff. In your hands, it'd be like asking a crack addict to deposit your paycheck. Just kidding. If you need a Tasty Beverage I'll, buy you one this weekend. Also, I'm off work this Friday and Monday if you're not working let's go for a ride.
