Wink Frigid Bits " Last Rider Standing "

On December 2nd, there will be a " Last Rider Standing " event held on the Frigid Bits course. This will be a 15 lap or a 10 lap ride. Pit crews are allowed. The first 4 riders at the end of the 15 and 10 lap category will then have 10 minutes to fix their bodies and bike and then ride a 5 lap sprint to determine the winner.
The 15 lap riders will start first and the 10 lappers will start when the 15 lap riders have 10 laps to go !
There will be a 10 lap costume category, theme; TBA so stay tuned !

Perhaps each rider could contribute a bottle of beer for a winner take all concept ?
The number of laps can change with temperature and course conditions.

    Slight Obstacle

Does this latest snow offering change anything? Hip checks into the snow banks are now legal?

I would not think so. I saw Rio and company tonight out on the lake getting it ready for tomorrow.

    Frigid Bits Last rider Standing

As of Friday, 12/01 at 6 PM the almost famous Frigid Bits course is up and ready to ride !
There are some course mods with a few more faster sections and the same amount of turns, however, some have just been moved to other places on the course !
The course is a whopping 1 mile long with 41 turns !
This course is a studly course !
The ride direction is counterclockwise !

    and company

Since I appear to be Rio's "and company" and under his strict supervision plowed the course today, I offer a couple of thoughts - the straights are wide to enable passing but unlike the last course the turns are not - the berms are about 16" of soft snow. Tonight the ice is clean with no overflow - backside curves are very flowing S series, so rider focus on smooth lines will be important - you will not ride straight through curves as the last course. Pimped Rio to offer a SS class since my last camo costume got zero points and hope some of the UAA SS/fixie riders show again. Last thought - everybody should watch the first turn.... 87beemer.
