Fatbike to the Arctic - journal & photos

This winter/spring my partner and I rode our fatbikes on the Iditarod Trail for roughly 700 miles, then veered north and continued on the the arctic community of Kotzebue. A journey of over 1,000 miles.

Here is a link to our journal with photos: Fatbike to the Arctic - Journal — Mjolnir of Bjørn

    Bjorn,

Loved your write-up. Congratulations. Cool that you hit Granite Mt. Hot Springs, I once worked out of Granite Mt. when I was a firefighter and spent many an evening there. I'm curious how the tent held up, got a spark hole or three? Thanks for the read.

Mark- that's awesome you have been to Granite. I am sure you can imagine, it was an incredible joy to strip down and soak the weary bones.
As for the stove, I will never go on this kind of trip without it again. That said, I do want to look into the spark arrester. Thankfully we did use an older shelter because yea, spark holes. This shelter is now relegated to winter use only.

I have put together a slideshow with more pictures, if you are interested: Mjölnir Photography: Fatbike To The Arctic - Read more here: http://www.mjolnirofbjorn.com/blog/

    Cheers
