    Dome trail recon

Did a little recon ride to the dome trail today on fat bike, no studs.

Road past bridge in tank trail is loose snow over ice, very slippery but there a few narrow tire tracks that can be ridden. Started up the dome trail and conditions are somewhat better with the snow lightly bonding to the underlying ice. Didn't make it to far uphill but most likely ridable with studs riding down was fine.

A few more tires on the trail will bring it into decent riding shape. Probably head back later this week and do some uphill pushing when I have more time later this week.

It is good to finally see someone else taking advantage of that trail. We rode up campbell airstrip road on Saturday to the basher lot and accessed the dome trail from there. Nasty dropping into that valley there, but figured it would have been easier than pushing up from the bottom. We rode/pushed up to the steep pitches and had a really cool ride all the way to the tank trail. I'll make a lap on that this weekend as well.
