Devil's/Cooper Key Swap Needed on Saturday

Three people riding from Devil's to Cooper on Saturday, and we'd like to avoid taking two cars. Anybody heading that way and interested in a key swap? We're hoping to leave Anchorage about 10 or 10:30 a.m.

Has the trail been brushed? If not I'd imagine it's crazy overgrown.

It has been brushed back and is awesome. No overgrowth problems at all. Yesterday was my third time up Devil's this summer, and the vegetation was never a problem.

Good to hear. I might be interested if the weather is decent, but I'll be out all week until then. I'll see if I can post a ride on BikeMe.

Can you leave Anchorage a bit earlier, like 8? I think that would help a ride fit a bit better in most people's schedules. I'm thinking of posting this as a weekend ride on the meetup site, to get some other people to join in, myself included, but starting at 10 means at the trailhead and ready to go more like 1130-12 and depending on group dynamics or unplanned events can make the end pretty late. I won't be able to check this or any internet during most of next week, so I'll message some other organizers and see if they want to check back here.

I'm going to retract that offer due to non-response. Enjoy!

Since I didn't hear anything, I didn't want to show up early for nothing, but also didn't want to be out all day and evening, but I think I did run into you on the trail? I was the guy that went back and locked your car/hid the keys. Was a beautiful day, although started a little chilly!Devil's/Cooper Key Swap Needed on Saturday-14237710_10100901817657378_3781828690202535780_n.jpgDevil's/Cooper Key Swap Needed on Saturday-14330047_10100901808780168_4422576273470852958_n.jpgDevil's/Cooper Key Swap Needed on Saturday-14292493_10100901808550628_373672821713679393_n.jpgDevil's/Cooper Key Swap Needed on Saturday-14292472_10100901817253188_1044839651310379034_n.jpg

Awesome pics, Jayem. I'm off work Friday, and you may have inspired a ride. My dog thanks you.

Try it out, let us know what it's like. I think stuff in the morning is going to be frosty/icy to muddy later on, but possibly not big chunks o mud and we have had a few days of good drying. Up higher, probably still soggy in the place I took the pics, but continuing on it got better to Res Pass.

Trail was fantastic all the way to Devil's Pass sign. Suited my riding style very well: year round fatbike with suspension fork, beers in frame bag, dog in trail. Nice gradual climb to work your cardio, but nothing too steep or technical.

I could have done the right up shirtless, the conditions were incredible, especially considering it's October. At the sign I started hitting mud, that my tires didn't mix with. Ended up having to turn back. I'm sure a skinnier tire would have handled it better.

No signs of wildlife, saw a few other groups of riders. Great trail.
