    Bike Movie Ideas

I'm thinking about hosting a Bear Tooth movie night featuring a cycling video. I'd appreciate some recommendations for films that are mountain bike related and haven't been screened yet in Anchorage.

I don't see any screenings of Reveal the Path listed in AK yet. If not, would be worth showing in my opinion.

I understand that a screening of Reveal the Path is in the works...

Sounds like an awesome idea though! We should get someone to shoot a doc on the Soggy Bottom! Or better yet the ITI!

    Reveal the Path

    Queen Bee,

I second the motion for Reveal the Path which ends it's around the world trip on the beaches of Homer. We're working on having it shown down here and the filmmakers as well as Salsa want to make the most of their trip to AK with as many showings as possible. They also want a showing in Fairbanks. We all need to set dates so they can show them all in one trip.
We're thinking late August or September so all our commercial fishermen can see it.
    Let's keep discussing this.

PS. great ride you and Darcy had in the Fireweed!

This Reveal the Path thing sounds interesting. I've never seen it. But if you need another option, Klunkerz is a great documentary about the history of mountain biking. I own it on DVD, but I don't find many people who have seen it.

I just remastered, repackaged and made a ton of new discs since I got the rights back. New posters and postcards, too. Hit me up if you're interested.

Not sure if Strength in Numbers has been screened here, but it is fairly amazing! Would be cool to get those guys up here to film an Alaskan segment someday.

I did hear that Reveal planning is in the works. Email me for details. It was great to see you in Valdez! What a wonderful surprise! Darcy and I had a ton of fun. Wonder if RAAM has ever been done on a tandem... LOL!

And do it soon as it may not be there much longer. Be sure to select full screen, some of the best cinematography and time lapse stuff I've ever seen.

    ^^ That ^^

It was there for weeks about six months ago... and then gone. I wound up buying it and have watched it at least a dozen times. Wonderful film.

    Cool!

    JT,

Glad you all got this figured out. We're still trying to schedule a showing down here in Homer when the 'Path' is in the state.

Hope to see you at the Bear Tooth!

    Pat
