I'm thinking about a gold race face handlebar for my red/black Guardian 2.0. Will this look good or not?

Went awesome. Have put about 20 dirt miles and 10 street miles on them in 3 rides. A little harder to get rolling, but easier to keep rolling. tubeless at 27 psi on dirt + the pedal clearance, + the new height equal a whole new experience!!! Fell pretty hard on the second ride, landed directly on the rear wheel(240lbs). Thought for sure I ruined the wheel but it didn't phase it. So far highly recommend the novatec diablos. Hubs comparable to hope, hadley, ck, etc.

I'd look at the renthal bars. They would look good.

I liked them, but I have now switched to Black RF Chester bars.

How do you like the Chester compared to the turbine?

Basically the same I guess. I put the Gold Bars on my ride around the neighborhood bike.

Has anyone 'blacked out' their black Goblin? I'm assuming the decals are under the clear. So has anyone gotten creative?

I want a Goblin so bad I can taste it, but the green/black just kills it for me.

Have you thought about just ordering the Goblin frame?

Just finished up my 1X10 conversion last night using a raceface narrow wide 30t chainring. I'll give it some solid testing this weekend. I'm keeping the cassette gearing as is for now.

    only a few mods:
    SunRingle 135mm x 12 rear axle conversion
Lenzyne pressure drive a little small for 29er but gets the job done fine

It should be rainy for the next few days so I snapped a picture of the new saddle and seatpost while I could. So far the saddle seems to be exactly what I've been looking for, and it looks pretty nice too which is a plus. Chromag Lynx DT and Easton EC70 zero offset post.

I think I'm "done" until something breaks.

    From humble beginnings....

To the XC rocket she is now....

Latest upgrade is the new lever for the KS Eten Dropper post. I ended up getting a lever from the CB Kronolog dropper since it acts like a shifter lever. Much easier to use than the standard remote lever that comes with KS products.

    Total list of upgrades:
    Silver Goblin Frame
    30T RaceFace Narrow Wide
    X9 Type 2 RD
FSA Poly headset spacers in green
Crank Bros. Cobalt 2 riser bars
    Crank Bros. Cobalt 2 Stem
    Crank Bros. Remote
    KS Eten Dropper Post
    Specialized Ergon grips
    Shimano SLX brakes
    ZTR Crest Wheelset tubeless
    Maxxis Ardent up front
    Maxxis Ignitor out back
    Specialized RIVA seat
    Origin8 UL platforms
    FSA Headset
    42T OneUp (currently uninstalled)

Right now the bike is sub 26lb, but most of the weight is at the dropper post. LOVE THIS BIKE!! I am really looking forward to the Road Apple Rally race in two weeks!

    Thanks Jeremy!

I did run that race last year, ended up 13th overall. I have two goals for the upcoming race Oct. 4th - first is to finish faster than last years 1:13, and second is to crack the top ten. I have been saving my Airborne Jersey for the race, too. Can't wait!!

Its been a crazy summer for me. Too many projects. I built this bike in March for my wife but we've only been on the trail 2 or 3 times. She does love the bike though. And its really made her want to get out more. So we have big plans for next summer. We just need to clear the calander and get the kids some nice 24" bikes.

I want to say a big thank you to Jeremy for helping me get a fork and get some things together. Airborne has been great to work with. I'd definetly buy again and I encourage others too as well.

Without further ado, here is the bike. I don't think I ever posted pictures of her.

Oh specs on the above bike:
    QuickSilver Goblin frame
    Reba fork
Race face 1x10 crank - Wife LOVES the simplicity of the 1x10
    Shimano (XTR I think) brakes
The derailers, wheels and some other parts are takeoffs from a friends Goblin. His upgrades really benefited me. Thanks MikeinMN.
Lastly, the most important item is a big fat cushy seat. My wife loves this seat. Even though it adds 3lbs to the weight of the bike. (I'm trying to talk here into something lighter)
