We're having a parts supply issue, which is delaying it until late winter.

Because you guys have been patient, I'll give you a little teaser of the complete Toxin. This is all I can give you at the moment, so I hope you like it.........

You're welcome! It's not gonna be that cheap, since we are focusing on making great bikes that do what they are supposed to do, at a great value...................it will compete spec-wise with the Specialized Status 1.

I've had bad luck with Gravity/FSA components. Oh well, it just means I'd have to swap them out for Shimano Saint or Zee.

Its a Domain, and the bike pictured is a test ride prototype that has parts on it that don't represent any sort of final spec.

    Thanks!

Small, Medium, and Large will be the three sizes.

We've got a good size range of folks that work here so selfishly, err.....I mean.... smartly, we usually make bike size ranges that fit all of us.

Sadly, no update. We are still in the process of testing to have the frame EN14766 certified.

I promise that as soon as I have a date to give out, I will. Thanks!

FYI, not knocking them for using Kenisis. Still curious if its Airborne's design, or Kenisis design relabeled.

Another thread on Kenisis for curious folks:
    Any feedback on Kinesis frames?

Think this thread (post 2) answers my questions, sorry for the multiple posts.
    Airborne history and company structure

These guys have no qualms about sharing their history and partnerships, and that transparency is good to see.

Still looking forward to the official release and info

Will be interesting to see whats changed. Here are some number that may/may not be similar

    Welcome to Kinesis Website

Sorry BDF if this is stealing any thunder from the release, but folks like me might be wondering if its worth the wait or if we should get a different sled sooner.

All of our hardtail designs are 100% designed by us here in Ohio.

Being small we have to partner with someone when it comes to full-suspension design. This is mostly due to the myriad of patents and expenses of tooling. Otherwise we couldn't do it.

Kinesis has been making frames for a long time, and makes them for a surprising amount of well-known bike companies. Generally we work with them on an existing design to make it work better and meet our needs and criteria. For example another design we are using from them has changes to angles, ATC, routing, stronger seat-tube mount for the rocker arm, and a redesigned (beefed-up) lower rocker arm. Those are all the result of hundreds of hours of ride testing done by us, machine testing, and multile versions of the frames to get them "right".

We test to EN14766 which is the more stringent EU standard, which you don't have to test to in order to sell bikes in the USA. This means we hold our frames to a higher standard than needed which sometimes means we end up being a little slower to market than we would like, but in the end we know we are putting quality out there.

Does it steal a little thunder? As you stated we are transparent about who we are and what we do, but to be honest and frank it does get a little tiring with folks doing internet searches and trying to post "aha!" moments. We work very hard on the products we put out there and the way that we treat folks, and sometimes all of that hard work doesn't get accounted for and thrown out the window when that happens. But we don't bury our head in the sand and try to hide; we'd rather address things head on and be honest.

    Thanks,

    Jeremy

I appreciate your responses and presence on the forums. I also appreciate the way you conduct yourselves on these forums. I have asked some straight forward questions(another thread), and your answers have always been answers (not fluff) and are well spoken and genuine. You have won points with me and earned more faith in your brand.

With regard to the aha, I hear what your saying to a degree. My intent wasn't to aha (specially not in a bad way), just to share more info with others watching this thread on what it might be looking like (numbers and images). You have released info on facebook, twitter, etc. Some would regard this as a tease (not knocking you, I like this stuff). My guess is the point of those leaks is to stir up interest. Once there's interest, you cant fault folks for trying to find out more, especially if they are excited and currently shopping.

As you said, you guys are tweaking to your spec, and are doing your own R&D and testing/certification to make the designs more you your spec. I think that's awesome. I'm still looking fwd to your specs and your release info.

So Giant must get their bikes from there too...that's clearly very similar to the Giant Reign...

Good point. Very similar looking. Without more pictures its hard to tell, but the kinesis frame looks to be a "full floater" frame(lower shock mounts to swingarm linkage making the rear triangle fully separated from the from the front triangle) and I am pretty sure the Reign is not.

Those bikes are not even remotely the same if you take a hard look at them. The general shape and look are the same at first glance (which is true for many frame designs), but the devil is in the details.

Also, they don't make bikes for Giant as far as I know.
