    My Airborne Guardian arrived!

    My first Mountain bike!

Took about 6 days. To be fair, I ordered it on a Friday afternoon. It shipped on Tuesday and arrived on Saturday. Cool!

Easy to put together, but my neighbor who is experienced in Mountain bike assisted me in the assembly. Size recommended by Airborne Product Support was right on!

Never rode a bike with front suspension. The ride was a pleasant surprise!

Lesson learned: Disc brakes grab! I mean GRAB! Eye opener.

Cool! You may consider different tires depending on the road/trails you are planning on riding.

Have a great time and start saving up money for your next mtb... more than likely a full suspension, 26 or 29er.
Don't worry too much about the next one... by the fourth or fifth bike, you'll start to feel like you know what you want... until...

I'd definitely recommend running flats for a good while first, develop good habits and then give clipless a go.

Sometimes I think I went to clipless too early.

I later switched back to flats to relearn some handling skills. Very helpful.

Good eye! It is a 16". It fits me perfect! I am 5' 7" and 30 inch inseam. I almost went with the 18 but I called Airborne and talked to them. They were extremely helpful and pleasant!

Since this is my first Mountain bike I have nothing to compare it with, but my neighbor has been riding for awhile so I will let him make an assessment. He helped me put it together and was surprised on some of the components on it.

I will post regular updates. Hopefully none of them from the hospital!
