Help us name our new DH frame....

You've seen the pics floating around of Caroline racing on the orange DH rig, along with some of our other employees and riders. We're in the final testing phases and plan on going to production in the next few months as a frameset (frame, shock, headset).

We've been calling it the "Pathogen" as a working name, but now want to leave it up to you as to what we will call it. The other name that some of us like is "DFA", which stands for "Death From Above" to go along with the Airborne Ranger theme (plus it fits well with a DH bike that is shuttled to the top and bombs to the bottom...........).

So what do you think? Airborne Pathogen or Airborne DFA?

Hmm...I'd probably go with "Pathogen", simply because DFA has some bad connotations. You could die from riding a bike, but you aren't going to get a virus from it!

Pathogen makes me think of hospitals. Not sexy at all (please don't reply with pics of dirty nurses to prove that hospitals are sexy).

Out of those two names.. Pathogen hands down is the best. it seems to go well with the Airborne name better.. or my vote for the bike is

El Duce!!!! The Airborne 'El Duce" thats right read it and fall deeply in love with the name. you can't fight it, so why try. Make it so... The El Duce!

I would rather see DFA, "Death From Above" than Pathogen, that just doesnt flow well for a DH bike.

I was thinking something along the lines of "Airborne Assault", but then I saw that at least one other bike company uses that name. Then I found some related words, and came up with:

    Onslaught
    Invasion
    Incursion
    Offensive
    Waylay

I like the last 2 words on that list!

In line with Hobgoblins, Goblins, and Guardians, you could name the bike after medieval weapons such as:

    Baselard
    Rondel
    Katar
    Flail

or a bunch of other names found here:

DFA FTW and if your offended by that then grow up and join the real world.. what a silly statement.. I bet Canfield was up to it's ears from obesity awareness companies when they intro'd the "Big Fat Fatty Fat"

I can't believe Pathogen is the favored name! It sounds stupid, this bike needs a "B.A." name. This is the bike that B.A. Baracuus would ride!!

DFA is kind of cool. May be lost to a lot of people unless your familiar with the Airborne Rangers. Pathogen reminds me of some type of virus or infection. Not digging that one. A few others I thought of

Wicked Warrior. Air One. Devil Dog. Timber Wolf(kind of an all mountain type creature). Special Ops. Airborne Green Beret.

    Air Biscuit

    Skid Mark

    SRDH- $hit Rolls Down Hill

The most scatologically advanced mud shuttle to hit the fan in years, the all new Air Bourne Fecalnator will have folks diving out of your way faster than if someone threw a Baby Ruth in the pool!

I vote DFA, Pathogen would be better suited for a trail bike.

Then I would say Airborne "Troll" is appropriate........though for some reason "Jabberwock" popped in my head.
