I don't know that I'd be real comfortable with those kinds of animals. I see stuff like deer and squirrels.

Eh, gators won't mess with you. You could probably curb-hop one and you'd just scare the crap out of it and make it run into the water.

(I'm a FL transplant and grew up with gators literally in my back yard)

Pretty cool trail scenery. You guys have funny looking deer.

Would be cool to see gators on a ride, not sure how comfy I'd be with it either though...

Pretty scary...but I think the scariest creatures I see out on the trail are other male cyclists wearing spandex.

LOL on the spandex! Gators really don't get aggressive unless you corner them or get close to a nest or baby gators. Another trail I ride in Lakeland "Carter rd" has some nasty big gators that actually lay on the trail this time of year and wont move. So you have to just pick up the bike and move around. Note those gators were on the other side of the river. They stay away from humans unless they are absolutely starving or the rider is actually wearing spandex!!! LOL

    Hey, Mitch:

    Nice gators.

    Where did you ride today?

    What about San Felasco?

Today I did about 23 miles at Santos. I am shot !

Have to ride Santos again tomorrow with friend.

Funny I have been on the Goblin for about a month.

Today on the last 10 miles or so I rode my 26 FS which a friend was riding. She hopped on the Goblin.

Yes the ride was more "cushy" and the bike felt a bit more flickable but overall it did not hold a candle to the Goblin.

I went from FS and 26 inch to a hardtail 29er so i don't really know if the perceived difference was in the wheel size or suspension or a combination of the 2.

I felt slow on the FS 26 and I felt too big for the bike.

Goblin is an 18 in. The Jamis FS is a 17 so i dont know if I felt too big due to frame or wheel size. Interesting day.

I rode San Felasco today did 25 miles!!! Did tongue nut, conquistador, old buck and the other trails in the back and then rode back to trail head! Conquistador is a monster! Liked tongue nut except for the grassy areas. great place to train for sure! Have to hook up soon.

    Where were the gators??

Glad you liked Felasco. I did not do Conquistador. Anything like Tung Nut with the climbs and descents??
