    The rims are single-walled.

Like most bike companies, we don't like to publish weights, especially on value-priced bikes that may have more variance in component weights. That being said, the 17" Sabre on display in our office weighs 30.5lbs, which isn't bad for its pricepoint.

just got my girlfriend a sabre, she is 5,2 so i got the 15in. out of the box looks very nice, cant argue with the price. 249$ at my door! put some new bars and shorter stem on it, i couldn't stand those goofy looking bars it comes with. new grips and pedals. i was wanting to put a bash guard on it but the chain rings do not come apart. after i assembled the bike i started shifting it and the rear derailleur jammed in the spokes. after looking at it the hanger was bent causing this, i took the bike to my lbs and they got it all working properly. no feed back from the girlfriend on it yet waiting till Christmas. so far i am happy with my purchase! i will re post with pics and feedback!

Looks great! Are you planning on having some decals made up for it?

I hate to bring bad news, but Airborne is stating on their site that they are out of stock on the 15 inch Sabre with no plans to make more.

That's correct, we are out of small Sabre's and Skyhawk's.

I'm sorry about that. The sub-$400 26" bike category is something we are moving away from for the future so we aren't going to be making more of them as we run out. Hopefully you can still find something nice for your wife from someone else.

Is Airborne abandoning the low end or are you guys just planning 29ers (or just 1 29er) to replace them?

It's difficult to say for certain at the moment, but I doubt we will make any bike (26 or 29) to replace them.

You wouldn't have any 15" Sabre's hiding in the back...possibly a demo or something to get rid of would you??!!

my other option i was thinking before i got the sabre was a specialized p street 1. look into them they are nice bikes and they have the same sizes as the airborne sabre. little more expensive but thats cause components. i picked the sabre over it because the sabre was 5 pounds less.

Thanks for the tip! Nice looking bike that I had never seen before. I'm still depressed about the Sabre as I had already told the wife I was buying it for her. I think it's going to be Craigslist time...

    airborne sabre

I think they look just right. Looks like it came that way from the factory and they don't look too small.

I like the newer style logos better than what's on my green Goblin and have considered doing exactly what you did. Paint or powder coat the frame white and do the newer style stickers.
