    airborne marauder?

hi all im looking at buying a new am/fr bike and saw the very cheap airborne marauder. im not sure if at this price it will be a good bike. the shock is what worries me, because it only has preload. and im not sure if the fork is very nice because i have never heard of the brand(except for on my 7 year old brothers $200 bike.)

    thanks,

you get what you pay for........ expect to be upgrading the components especially the shocks. you would probably be better off finding a clean used bike.

its not a bad bike, although not the best customer service. I got mine about two weeks ago, first they sent a Taka, then i sent it back but somehow it showed back up at my door with the marauder, yea two bikes. Wonder how mistakes like that were made.

For the research I've done howmaybesgo is right, nothing special but not crap. It seems to be a solid frame and decent starter parts just repackaged iron horse. But this is my first full susp. and its more than enough for me right now.

and I did send the Taka back, refunded my shipping.

seems more like a xc/ trail bike to me. if you want am/ fr id look elsewhere.

I bought one recently. It was shipped straight from the Huffy warehouse. My last bike was an Ironhorse G-spot which surprised me because it had great components for the price. The marauder is no Ironhorse. Amazingly enough every component on the bike is bottom of the line and often a discontinued item. A 2012 bike with discontinued components - go figure. If you want cheap go to Walmart and buy a Huffy.

I have a Marauder and I love it, Airborne has great customer service, in my experience. The rear shock is good and the fork is ok but it is heavy. Most of the components are entry level, so know that you will be upgrading. My first upgrades were the crankset and the rear derailleur, with these two changes the bike is great. There is a full review of it up on my blog if you want any more information.
