New question here. 2.35 rear tire on New Goblin?

I ordered a NEW Goblin over the weekend (18" frame). Has anyone tried fitting a 2.35 rear tire on this frame yet?

I am thinking of ordering a set of Halo Twin Rail 29er tires, but these are a little wider than the typical 2.2's the frame specs mention.

If you're wondering why that tire choice, my typical ride includes a pretty big section of down-hill, twisty payment and I'm willing to sacrifice some performance in the dirt for additional control on the faster, paved portions of my ride.

    Thanks,

The distance between the stays where the tire sits is 2.75 inches. So in theory a 2.35 tire will leave .2 inches on either side.

I have also been looking for this answer. Im looking to buy a buget 29er soon, and I am a big tire addict.
