Great bike. Does everything I want and leaves a smile on your face. I think it's a good looking bike too. Will source a u-turn so I can 110-140mm my revs.
Here is my new 650b frame with 2.3 tires and 29er fork. The biggest tire volume that I have run are the 2.1's and am really diggin' the 2.3's. This is also my first steel frame.
Are you asking about 650b specific steel frames? I ride a converted MUSS and i am officially jealous of the owners of the Bombadil, the UBI and that Igleheart 953 650b. Gorgeous steel rides, simply lovely.
The Jamis Dragon 650 are great, my son and I have been riding them since last summer. There handle great will climb any thing and ride very smooth. The hot setup is 2.35 Nobby Nic tire tubeless at 19 psi front & 23 psi rear.
If you get one get a frame and build it up.
I like the geometry so much I am having Kent Erikson build one out of Ti in a custom size with very similar geometry ( I always wanted a custom Ti bike).
BTW, I will be selling my 15" frame after I get my Erikenson in a few weeks.
