what 650 tires will my fork clear?

i have HD 160 with 650b wheels and 2012 36 talas 160 fork. running neo motos 2.3 front and back on flows. now rear one is pretty worn so will be puting front one to the back and was wandering if there is anything bigger for front that my fork will clear. with neo moto 2.3 there is still room under arch.

A 27.5 by 2.35 kenda nevegal will fit and
A 650b by 2.25 schwalbe nobby nic will fit..
I have not tried new 2.35 schwalbe hans dampf yet!

Until these new tires begin to roll in, it's hard to tell but i bet the new Hans Dampf and Nobby Nic will clear the arch, might not completely clear the crown though.

is NN 2.25 bigger tire than neomoto 2.3? i keep reading about nevegals they are terribly slow rollers. is this big of a issue as a front tire too? i would sure be happy to fit HD 2.35

It's not nearly as big an issue on the front, and the Nevegal 2.35 is an excellent front tire, IMO, especially if your riding swerves toward the chunky side. It's my go to front tire for the steep, mixed (but generally rocky) conditions on the home trails. Don't dig it quite as much on the rear.
It fits great on a 32mm Fox fork so it should be even roomier on a 36.

If you need soon, don't want to spend alot (almost 1/2 Schwalbes) and don't want to gamble on the others fitting. It will handle a little diferent then the Neo though.

Yes, it will absolutely clear the arch as will the 2.35" Nobby Nick which is the tallest 650B tire I know of (it clears the arch of the Fox 32 also) at close to 28" tall.

At bottom out the NN hit the bottom of the crown of the 32 Fox but the HD might clear or be very close as it's about the same height as the Nevegal 2.35". So the 36 I would think no problem at the crown. Not sure if the NN 2.35" would clear the 36 crown it's so tall. It would be nice if someone could check that.

I just got my 650 rolling about a month ago. I had concerns about the slow rolling reports of kenda nevegal but I put them on the front and rear. I like them alot. I ride on alot of rocky trail and they hook up good in the loose. I have the front on a Fox 32 clears with no prob.

None whatsoever for me....been running Nev's in various sizes on various rims with Stan's and homebrew sealant for the last 5 or 6 years.
