Highest Volume, Aggro Thread 650b Tires?
On my 26er I run Continentals and Spec GRIDs. Both are very high volume, great aggressive AM thread.
What's the highest volume, aggro thread 650b tire? No Kenda's since can't run Stans.

Schwalbe 2.35 Hans Dampf, a big 2.35...soon Maxxis 2.4 High Roller 2.

I've run sealant in dozens of Kendas without any trouble.

Those are nice tires. But the crazy price! $90 for one friggin tire?
I haven't had luck with Kendas. Blew three of them at the beads and sidewalls on my local rocky trail. Never again

I just ordered a set of Schwalbe Hans Dampf Evo Snake Skin TrailStar 650B x 2,35 for $41 each and $26 for shipping. Grand total of $108. You will never get them in the states that cheap even with the shipping .

As others have said, it is the Schwalbe Hans Dampf. It is an amazing tire that rolls well. It is 2.35 but it is as big as some 2.5 tires.
Only downside is price and durability in rocky terrain.

I bought a pair also for less than 55 Each including shipping and they came very fast. I believe as of right now that's going to be the most aggressive high volume tire going
I've been inside too long.

Good to see these replies. It looks like the HD is the one to get then.
Jetman, did you get hit with customs/duties? I hate paying that extra $$ !!!! I got slammed with duties on a frame from the UK once and vowed to never let that happen again.
Francis. Those pics look great. Nice balloon size tires, just what I'm after. I want your job too. You must love what you do!

When coming back to US from abroad, you only pay duties for goods over $800. I have never been hit with a duty for stuff under $500 won on ebay / sent from offshore stores.

Sorry to dig this up after a month, but I am debating on going to 27.5 and want a large volume aggressive tire. I know the Hans Dampf is out and living in UT, we go to Moab quite a bit, but the Schwalbe tires last about a minute there (or at least the ones my buddy was riding). I ride the Trail King 2.4 right now and love that tire on everything. Is Conti offering anything? What about Maxxis? (other than the ardent..)
-
I know it gets no love from the e-riders but my kenda Nevagal 2.35 has been much more durable and affordable for my riding (east coast rocks and roots) than the more expensive less durable options.
I have been running with home brew sealant for three seasons with no problems.
-
The Conti Revo sealant will not rot rubber like Stan's (been using Stan's for years in Kendas and other tires and only had an issue with one tire), and the Revo seals up punctures much better as well.
Pretty amazing stuff, the best sealant on the market imo.

I'm running the Conti Revo sealant too on some Schwalbe Racing Ralphs (or well, I just sealed up a tire, haven't ridden it yet).
My tire is completely flat from 35 psi to 0 in 3 days. Is this normal? I hear no hissing, but haven't done any confirmations submerging in a tub yet.

Absolutely

Kendas have worked great with Stans for years for me.
The Nevegal has been a great, heavy duty tire that set up perfectly on my Flow EX. It is a slow roller but on the northeast trails I ride there are no smooth sections so RR is almost a non-issue.
It is cheap, high volume, easy to find, and has the traction few other tires provide.
