    Basso 650b ti bike

Incredibly, I found this sweet basso titanium mountain bike that fits a 650b wheels on CL phx . It will need disk mounts, but that's really no big deal. Anyhow the problem is it's just way too big. 22"

This probably isn't the place to be writing this...but I figured I'd pass along the good word. I might pick it up because it's such a nice frame.

Made by Litespeed back in the mid 90s. If I had to guess, I'd bet it doesn't actually fit 650b very well. I know my mid 90s McMahon, also made by Litespeed, barely fits a 26 x 2.2" Specialized Captain.

Yeah, I was skeptical until I popped a 650b in the back. A 2.1 clears. Might go 2.2, but definitely not 2.3. The bottom tubing near the cranks tapers, but there is plenty of room at the top.

Problem is the stays will flex like crazy on that, so if minimal clearance you will get crazy rubbing. The McMahon I have is pretty much a 94ish Litespeed Obed. There is maybe 3/8th of an inch clearance to the chainstays with the 2.2" tire. Out of the saddle, I get rubbing on both chainstays from the frame flex.

I guess my point is, somebody shouldn't get into that frame fully expecting a 650b to fit and work without issues. Still might be a cool bike to own for some gigantosaurus though.
