Any 160mm 650b Forks Out There?
If the Carbine is 160mm, why put a 150mm fork on it? I'd like to keep the same travel front/rear or 10mm more up front if not even.
RS Rev has always been a fav fork but it's only 150mm.
Anything else?
UPdate: silly me. Ok the Fox CTD is 160mm. I prefer RS but Fox is ok.

Actually, the Carbine is a 140 or 152mm travel frame depending on what travel setting is used.

Oh, it is? Thanks for letting me know. A 150 fork is good then

The upcoming X-Fusion Slant is also 160mm, but I don't know if an internal 10mm travel limiter will be required like on their current 26" forks in a 650b application.

You sure about that? I haven't seen the official drawing for the 650b Revelation (it's not up on the Rockshox service site yet), but Bike Rumor lists the A2C length of the 150mm 650b Revelation as 539mm (Rockshox 650B Revelation Spotted, Gives Up Details - Bike Rumor).
The A2C of the 160mm Fox 34 650b is 554.4, so a good 15.4mm difference between it and the 150mm Revelation.

X fusion vengence, doesnt need a travel limiter

Oops. You're right. For whatever reason I was mixing up the a2c of the Fox and X Fusion. The X Fusion slant is 545.

What I'd really like is a 650b 160 coil fork. All the forks so far are air only. Weight penalty but can't beat the plushness of coil.
Come on Fox and RS!

RS Lyrik coil, and u-turn coil clear Neo-moto 2.3 safely. I ran this for a few years with 650b.
Fox 36 coil clears (pretty sure). The arch with plenty of gap, I haven't measured the crown clearance at bottom travel. Maybe someone can confirm?
X-Fusion Vengeance coil easily clears the largest volume 650b. I'm on this now, an HLR. Awesome fork!

The new Fox air fork, kashima 160mm 650b fork is ridiculously smooth and tuneable.

If you can live with its limitations, a good used Lyrik U-Turn is a nice and relatively inexpensive fork to get you experimenting with 650b. The problem is, once you get to taste the 650b goodness, you will want more. You will want to step up and try the highly praised HD and NN and ... you will be SOL. I am still hoping for the 2.25 HD&NN and Maxxim Ardent to clear the Lyrik but if not, I can live with the excellent Neo Moto for a while. There will be a moment when I will want to switch to a Vengeance though.

The NN and HD won't clear the Lyrik's arch? Bummahs. I'd prefer not to have to buy a new fork. What about the Fox 36 VAN?

I have a 2013 fox talas ctd 34 160mm 27.5 15qr tapered kashima on my 2013 intense carbine 27.5 and is super smooth. I used to have a 36mm vanilla on my nomad and i am blown away at what it can do!

The 2.35s likely won't. The 2.25s might. 36 fox forks should be fine but I have no experience with those.

XFusion Vengeance 160/170mm is officially a 650b fork.

I guess I should have defined "good" as light, smooth, and reliable. The Lyrik is so close, but not in a 150mm.

I am confused now. The Vengeance HLR Air is light, smooth and reliable but not a 150mm fork. Lyrik U-Turn is smooth and reliable and can do 150mm but definitely not light and won't work with any larger tire, forget about anything bigger than Neo Moto 2.3.

Hurry up and wait... Fox is still ruling for 160, Pike soon, BOS looks good but no date, X-fusion sort of but waiting for the new and improved, White Bros has a 150, Magura has a 150.

I would really prefer a dedicated 650b coil fork w/ 150mm travel, that can accommodate a 2.35 HDampf size tire.

Doesn't look like coil will be an option, and that's almost true for DH forks now also.
As a diehard coil user I will admit that I'm getting along well with my solo air fork.
