"and are running in-line posts with the saddle slammed forward on the rails. So, instead of making the world design steeper seat angles, Fizik has developed the Thar a 29er-specific saddle."

Basically described one of the reasons I got rid of my Tallboy C frame. I had the seat as far forward as my rails could go, and it always felt like the seat tube angle was too slack. I would have been interested to try it out to see how it would have worked.

I don't think it has so much to do with 29" wheels, more a nice option for different body sizes to fit better on non-custom bikes

Fizik is late to the party, there has been a 29er specific saddle for quite some time. Get a WTB Vigo, Vigo is Italian for 29er.

I'm holding out for 29er specific socks. But that'll have to wait til we get enduro socks.

Me too, however I'm now sporting 29er specific grips. Makes a huge difference.

Sheesh no wonder that Fizik saddle I tried didn't work out for me. It was taken from a 26er and was obviously hopelesslying inadequate for a 29er.

I heard Trojan is coming out with a 29er specific condom. It'll be greasier and thicker for a smoother, longer lasting ride.

Do they also make special saddles for 69ers, or do you just mount it differently?

Ass backward. No, wait a minute, that would be an entirely different saddle yet.

On my 29er my saddle is slammed all the way back. Does that mean it came with a 26er specific saddle, and should I get it replaced under warranty? How can I tell they're not gonna try and slip on one of those crappy 650b saddles?

I guess my Fizik Tundra 2 must be a special 29r model since that is what was on my Cannondale Flash carbon 29r when I bought it new. I feel very lucky I don't have to get a new saddle now...
