    upgraded to 1X12 and the cassette is rubbing the spokes

    There was not an additional spacer - any ideas. Its a Niner Jet 9 about 4-5 years old

    Ideally this would have been posted in the drivetrain forum.

    Thru axle? QR? Length? Is the cassette actually hitting the spokes or is the derailleur hitting them?

    Cassette rubbing spokes? Interesting. In addition to Sparticus' questions, what brand of cassette and hub? Pics?

    Guys I am new to this - I went back and found that some of the spokes were not laced correctly- corrected that and no problems

    I put the Sunrace 12 speed cassette on a friend's first gen Krampus. It rubbed the spokes because that bike has a 135mm rear hub and 50mm rim with offset spoke holes. Spokes are kinda straight so the big cog touched the spokes just a tiny bit. A 1mm spacer cured it.
