    Syntace

Did you try ordering online from Syntace directly?

Being a brand spanking new product, it will probably take a few months to ramp up and get the product out to retailers. At least, that has been Syntace's history in the past with other new products.

That might be my only option
I was hoping I could get one in the states
I'm kind of leery of ordering stuff from overseas

i've ordered from them before (bar and stem). The real question is if it is even in stock at this point since they just announced the product. This one might require a few months of patience until production is ramped up....

    Syntace Flatforce Availability

    Hi SlowerJoe

Kenny Roberts here from Syntace USA. The Flatforce stem should be available in sizes 44, 55and 66mm by end of December through Syntace USA directly off our website at syntace-us.com . Dealers will get them a little bit after that. I think 77mm is delayed until Jan or Feb but sounds like that's about when you will need it. If you want to give us your email we'll add you to our update newsletter and you'll get a heads up when they are available.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

    Thanks - Kenny

I contacted the US Distributor for availability and they estimate 3rd week in May. Bikeman has it listed, but not in stock. Definitely a stem that will evolve stem development in the future.

I wouldn't be surprised to see other companies make something similar. I'm a small rider and it's tough to get my saddle at the same height as my handlebar. Right now they're just about the same height. This will help lower the handlebar shorten the reach (55mm stem) which is what I'm looking for on my 29er.

What will get the bars lower: A 77mm Flatforce or a -25 degree, 80mm Ritchey C260?

Roughly 9mm's lower. See article below.

Also, the stem just looks badass with it's flat low profile! Definitely a fusion of function and form.

I was going to buy through R2-bike, but damn, their shipping (yes, I realize it's from Germany) is through the roof.

Not to mention I'm in AFG, and have no need for the stem for a hot minute. Put myself on the waitlist on Bikeman.com.

Flatforce stems in 55mm, 66mm and 77mm are available to dealers currently through our distributor QBP (Quality Bicycle Products).

    Thanks - Kenny

These are definitely available now. Just do a search online. Ordered a 55mm last night.

Only thing is a lot of the advertisements say "Road Time Trial TT Bike use" and intended use says "Road". Anyone see this? Any clarification on this anyone? I know retailers can place whatever they want in an ad, but wasn't it's intended use for MTB?

The Flatforce stem was originally designed for use with MTB and Road wherever applicable. They are tested to DH standards so no problem running them MTB. The first sizes available are shorter 55mm-77mm so most likely will be used for MTB.

Cool stem. I'm surprised the longest is only 77 mm?
