Switching Shimano sl- m-670 front shifter from 3 to 2 speed setting

Looking for a clue here. Have a 12' model shimano front shifter slx model sl m-670 that came stock on my Santa Cruz tallboy. I understand this shifter can be switched from 3 to 2 speed setting and will work for either. How do you do this? Any help would be appreciated, looking to go to 2x10, currently in 3 speed mode

Look at the underside of the front shift pod, there should be a switch labeled 3x/2x. Just push it on over.

You can only do this when all of the cable is out.
