Stans ZTR Arch EX 29er Wheelset

I'm coming off of Easton Haven carbons, and while I did have a few busted spokes and had the rear hub replaced under warranty, I'm tough on wheels and thought that they held up well for 2-1/2 years of abuse on a Santa Cruz TBc. Loved the light weight and the quick spin-up and acceleration. So, will I be disappointed with the Archs on a Ripley?

Yes a little bit, No you mean Arch or Arch EX ?

The Arch EX isn't a bad rim, It's not bad on weight so will spin up ok.

But as stiff & direct as a carbon rim.

    What weight are you ?

Arch EX. I'm 175 about 180-185 geared up. Admittedly an abusive, inelegant rider tho.

    I'm around your weight.

They are not a bad wheel set, I have a couple of sets of them.

But they are not a patch on my I9 carbons, But they are no where near the price either.

The carbon wheels are much stiffer, more direct & spin up a little better.

You can choose Roval Control Carbon 29s. 1200 list, but you may be a good negotiator , so who knows. I laced my Archex rims with Supercomps to two 36 star ratchet 340 oem hubs off ebay and one ZTR front. The other front will be a Novatec D711 139g. should total about $140 No probs for over a year with lots of rocks and roots at the same weight.
