specialized shock with brain or fox specialized with brain for epic marathon-screenshot_2013-08-31-15-07-06.jpg

I have a specialized epic carbon marathon bike that I really love came with a specialized frs rear shock with brain that leaked and gave outnon me. After looking around I realized Its hard to replace this part and rebuilding one is 200 bucks . I found a 2013 fox rear shock from a epic swork that will fit with a brain and same size and confirm to be same size as my current one guy wants 400 and i know its super hard to findin would doher then from dealer and i would be upgrading to fox .
Do you guys think is worth it

Your best bet is contact Specialized. I'd have to imagine all the valves etc in the brain unit are designed to be mounted in a specific orientation and spot on the rear triangle.

Even though the shock may fit, if the mounting for the Brain is different it could effect how well it operates.
