Specialized Roval Control Trail 29 Wheelset: Good Upgrade?
I'm looking for a set of wheels to upgrade from my current WTB SX23's. I came across a deal of the Specialized Control Trail 29 wheelset. Asking for input since I can't find a whole lot on these wheels.
Are they decent trail rims?
Would you say going from WTB sx23 to the control trails is a good upgrade? I'll be shedding 1lbs that's for sure.
Would they be stiff/durable enough for a heavier aggressive rider? 196-205lbs.

I have been riding the original Control EL (2009) and have had no issues with them. These should have the same DT240 hub internals for the rear and the radial lace front hubs. I love my Control EL's. Just make sure the rear hub is 142 not 142+. 142+ is for Specialized frames only. I am about 180lbs fully loaded and beat the F out of these.

short answer is yes - anything Roval is decent!

Bontrager XR2 2.35 Teams are a well rounded tire that will work good with those rims.
