    Specialized Purgatory vs Ground Control?

For a rear tire? Which grips more and has less rolling resistance? Probably gonna go with 2.2'' for either one.

Ground Control has less rolling resistance.

    Purgatory has more grip.

    Purge up front.
Slide the Cap'n in your rear.

The Purg 2.2 didn't work for me upfront at all, but it's an excellent rear tire.

I think Purg is great front and rear. You do add some rolling resistance but not too much. Great grip, good durability, good wet or dry decent rolling resistance.

The combination of Ground Control 29x2.1 front and new Fast Track 29x2.2 rear for my Superfly 100 Pro has worked well on variety of trails, taking into consideration traction, rolling resistance, weight, etc..

I am running the 2.2 Purgatory front and 2.1 ground control rear since February in all kinds of conditions from snow, mud, ice and every thing else and couldn't be happier.
They both mounted up tubless with no problem using a floor pump.
