    Sontour XCM LO 29er 80mm

    makes some sense to you, make these holes in the fork to improve performance? (2mm drill holes ),

    Wait... you want to drill some holes in your fork? Really? Sounds like a cosmically bad idea to me.

    What is the issue you are trying to solve?

    Cannondale does that sort of thing on the older Lefty forks, to let air in and out of the sealed boot. They can get away with this by surrounding the air ports with a filter system, so the fork doesn't suck in water and dirt whenever the fork compresses.

    The only way to improve the performance of a Suntour fork is to replace it with a Rockshox Reba.

    i read an article in another forum, they say this could improve the performance of the suspension, make it softher on rebound etc etc....

    Yep that's what I did but only after careful consideration of the 2mm drill hole option.

    I made the holes, two on each fork leg with a 2mm drill ..... I went to the track and I notice a big difference ..... there are parts of the track where felt stiff fork ..... Soft felt now .... greatly improves.Sontour XCM LO 29er 80mm-img-20140124-wa002.jpg
