recommend me a rear wheel for my xc bike(29er) 950 element.
I want to have a spare rear wheel.
Looking to spend: middle of the road
Rear wheel only 12x142 mm.
I weigh with gear around 250lbs, most of it is cross country miles(2500/year)
Very little jumping, no drops.
Not sure if I need tubeless, had one flat in 7 month.

At 250 lb go for a Flow, they are light for how strong they are & you can run it tubeless
Tubeless is very good & not just for not getting flats.

I agree. At 250lb it's not worth the risk running a lightweight XC wheel. I'd say either the flow or charger would be a good compromise between stiffness and strength. They are a much better wheel then the price would reflect.

I have got many sets of chargers & at my 185 Lb climbing steep pinch climbs I can make the free hubs groan & make horrible sounds, So at 250 Lb I would stay away from them & any other wheel that has less than 32 spokes.
Just my 2 c

I would look at a FlowEX rim, DT 350 hub with 36 tooth ratchets, DT Comp spokes with brass nipples. Lace it yourself with a Park TM-1 tension gauge. Or lace it and get it trued and dished at your LBS.
It would be about 100 more for a LB wide carbon rim.

Would have gone with it myself if it was just a bit wider. I agree with eb on hub/spokes/nipples. And tension guage for that matter. Hopefully your LBS has the spokes you need in-stock, because buying them online is a PITA.
