Recommend me a lightweight adjustable stem
I'm looking for one to help me with the bike fit as this is my 1st bike.
Suppose to make it easier to know what feel right from wrong in the long bike fit dilemma.
Adjustable stem? Don't think that is a good idea for a mountain bike, even more so if you ride it like a mountain bike. You have to do like most of us did, borrow from a friend... or buy a couple and figure it out. Get them on Amazon and you can easily return the ones you don't want.
I'm gonna suggest the first thing that entered my mind. Walk into a (nicer) local bike shop. Ask if they've got some stems you can use to get the correct fit-- I imagine most shops may have a drawer or two filled with stock stems that came off bikes they've sold. At the very worst, they should be able to suggest a stem length/rise you need. Then buy a nice lightweight stem from said shop--especially if they don't charge you for the help. If you bought the bike locally they might even throw you a deal on a new stem; this can be one of the advantages of buying local.

Reason: Punctuation issues.
If you have a performance store near you, buy the sizes you want to try and return the ones you don't like. You have a year with the receipt.
There's no such thing as a light adjustable stem.
