Good day all,
My Superfly 100 AL is about 6 weeks old now and I noticed after 25 miles of a 46 mile ride last weekend that the rear wheel while in free wheel had a vibration to it. I did not notice this when pedaling but have to imagine it is also happening during pedal. Bontrager sealed cartridge bearing alloy rear hub w/Bontrager Mustang rims.
Vibration occurs when:
-Rotating the crank backwards
-Wheel is spun freely, by hand and after pedaling
-When the rear wheel is spun it spins about 10% of the time the front wheel spins
I took the rear wheel to my lbs and told them I thought the hub bearings were bad. They had it over the weekend and when I picked it up Tuesday they said the bearing race was loose and not seated. I thought to question this as I thought it was a sealed bearing but I did not know for sure.
I install the rear wheel after picking it up and it still is not smooth and acting in the same manor.
Are there two sets of bearings? One for the axle and one for the hub/cassette?
