    Pike160mm release date?

I have heard over and over that the 29er Pike was going to be available in 160mm. Sounds great for my Covert 29.
Just don't feel like spending nearly $300 with Push to make my '13 Fox 34 Float 150mm fork work like it was supposed to.

Any info on when the Pike 160mm will be washing up on these shores would be much appreciated.

    Update:

It looks like the first 160mm Pikes are going to be on the not yet released '14 Spech Enduro 29er. Since that bike will probably sell like mad it may be a while until any of the 160mm variants are available aftermarket.

I've got one on my 2014 Enduro, and it is the sickness. I would let you check it out, but my Mom said I couldn't talk to strangers (specially those that ride Bidwell.)

    I sent my 2013 34mm 140 CTD 29er FOX fork in and got a 2014 catridge installed for $70.

Now the ctd setting actually do what they are supposed to do and the fork stands up solid w/o diving and bottoming out. So stoked

160mm Pikes seem to be OE only right now, Orange have a few, Specialized have them, so retail models by the middle of next year maybe?

So they sold you a fork then charged you seventy bucks on top for the luxury of making it work?

    What a solid!

+1 I would be unhappy paying for what they got wrong.

That's cool, I have a 150mm Pike now and the sag settings on the stanchion show both a 150mm & 160mm reference. So, if I want more travel I may be able to buy the 160mm air spring assy and upgrade my fork way sooner than I would have to wait for the 160mm variant to become available to the aftermarket.

I've heard the same thing, that it may be the 150 can be pushed out to 160 with some type of spacer or spring.

My understanding is that the air spring assembly is the difference between the 150-160mm variants. Apparently RS designed these forks to be able to be run at 160mm but did not plan to make it available for a while. Then along came the Specialized Enduro 29er with it's 155mm rear travel...
