    Pedal noise?

    Alright quick question.

Does any body else have an insanely loud pedal? I just want to know if its normal before I go buy more pedals.

Right now I have the 'Kona Wah Wah'.. and oh my.. Every pedal stroke results in a loud ' TING!' .. drives me banana sandwich!

Maybe a little dragging noise if seals or bearings are worn is normal but loud sharp noises are bad.

They might just need some more break in time... Give them some more miles before dropping coin.

Are you sure it's the pedal making the noise? I ask, because often weird noises on bikes come from places other than where you suspect. If you are sure it's the pedal, removing the pedal and greasing up the threads and retightening may help.

Similar problem for me before and it was a result of a missing pedal spindle washer. It was my fault, but I have seen LBS forget this step before too. Not all pedals/ crank arms require washers, but the ones that do require the washer installation for proper noiseless function. In my case it was Time pedals on a Shimano crankset.
