Nooby question about manitou tower pro fork

So I am kinda new to mountain biking and was wanting a new fork for my 2013 diamondback recoil and I saw this forkhttp://www.pricepoint.com/Brand/Manitou/Manitou-Tower-Pro-80mm-100mm-120mm-140mm-29er-Fork.axd
I simply was wondering how I would know if it would fit or not.

    Thanks,

You need to check the specs for your bike and then buy the correct fork. From what I can see your bike uses a 1 1/8 straight steerer and has a 100 mm fork. I am almost certain your wheels are QR, so you need a 100 mm fork with 9 mm qr dropouts and a 1 1/8th steerer.

I'll post your bike's specs so you can confirm this for yourself.

edit: price point doesn't list 100 mm in the menu but don't worry about that. The 80 mm and 100 mm are the exact same fork and use a spacer to determine what travel the owner wants. The spacer takes about 5 minutes to switch around. I have the Tower Expert and it is a fantastic fork, but the Pro is lighter by half a pound and also fantastic.

Why don't you buy the 120 mm version of the Tower? The price the Towers are going for is about half of what they are worth. You won't find mucvh anything else decent at the price they are going for.
