    Niner Air 9 build up

I posted this last month in the niner subforum. I hope to receive a few more responses.

I have a good opportunity to pick up a gently used Air9 frame for not much money. Is a $1200 budget over the cost of the frame enough to build up a decent bike?

Id like to go with a 2X10 drive train (cranks, BB, chain and Derailleurs), Reba fork and XT brakes. Wheel set? Brakes and Pedals, I can use off of my other bike. The rest, like bars, grips, stem will be specced out accordingly after the drive train and wheel set is priced and bought.

THoughts? I'm going to pick up the frame at the end of this month.

$1200. Maybe if you find some awesome deals. You could source an X7 groupo from fleabay for 400-500 bucks. Not sure what XT brakes are running. Find a descent set of used wheels and you'd be rolling.

    Good luck

If it comes with a fork then you could come close to your budget but need to try to find used parts. You should consider SLX parts too
