    New wheels Giant Anthem

Hey guys I have a post going over on the 29er bike forum about a 2014 Anthem X1 I am thinking about bringing home with me this next week. I am a little disappointed that that stock wheels are not tubeless ready. Bummer or no big deal? Not gonna be racing it for a weight savings but I would like to take advantage of the tubeless benefits. Dealer is willing to trade me my stock P-xc1 wheelset for a set of stans crests for $375. Only weigh about 160# in riding gear but might upgrade to the stans arch for the added benefits they offer. Strength and stability. Just getting back into MBing after a while so help me out if ya can. Also, any better wheelset choices than the above mentioned? Thanks!

    Re: New wheels Giant Anthem

Uh yeah. I've run Giant P-XC1s tubeless several times (different wheelsets.) They work fine. Not as easy as Stans wheels though.

For that matter, even the lesser S-XC wheels work tubeless with some stans tape. They don't work with all tires, but the ones they work with, they work well with. As such, the P-XC's should do even better, which should be more than adequate.
