    New 6 bolt hubs for a 29er

Hi im kinda new here and i know a few about hubs, it happens that i've been told to change the hubs from my specialized camber comp 29er... the guy told me to change them for a sram x9 hubs, but i've read a bit of them and they don't convinced me at all same as the Shimano xt.
i need some advice with the topic, because seriously i don't want to waste money cause im ignorant about the subject, other thing that seems to be a problem is that i have a new set of 6 bolt rotors...

    thank you.
sry for the grammar i dont speak english properly

Tough to beat a set of DT Swiss 350 hubs. They will cost a few bucks more but worth it.

I"ll agree that some of the hubs that come on some of Specialized's bikes are a little cheesy but why exactly are you being told to change?
The X9 hub is not a step up.
If you want a better hub and don't mind paying up a little, go for a Hope Pro2.
If you want a good rear hub for around 50 bucks, Shimano M529. Not XT.

Replacing hubs is expensive unless you can reuse the spokes - and the rims that come on factory bikes aren't usually the best anyways.
Ride them till they break and then buy a better set of wheels.

i had the sram X9 hubs for a few months... complete JUNK!!!

i'm rather new to the mtb thing and the bike shop that installed them assured us they were and upgrade from the factory hub on my Stache 8. i was out of town and far, far away from my LBS... needed a hub because of some trailer / hauling damage to the factory wheel.

first ride out it was skipping and failed to engage a few times. it got worse from there...

after a complete rebuild on a practically new hub it started to skip and pop after two rides!! the factory new engagement is sketchy to begin with and hammering on it just makes it worse.

i decided to stop screwing around and drop the coin on some Industry Nine hubs. best decision ever!!!
