I've got a Santa Cruz Superlight 29 with a Fox Float RL. It works, but the full lock out is pretty harsh and I have no adjustability on the propedal. I really just want a shock with more tuning options. I'm looking at the new Fox CTD....however that shock has gotten some pretty mixed reviews on line. Most reviews saying the full open uses too much of it's travel, too often. So...3 questions:
1) Anyone using the 2013 CTD w/ boost valve rear shock on a 4" XC 29er and have an opinion?
2) If I do go this route...do I really need 3 different tuning options on the Trail Mode? Seems a bit much to me.
3) What else should be on my short list?
P.S. Cost isn't a huge issue....I want the best tool for the job.
