I just got them. Do you just slide them in or still use hair spray or?

They should slide right on and spin freely until you lock them down. Be sure not to over-torque the allen bolts or you'll strip them.

Yeah, 26er grips won't fit a 29er handlebar FYI. I heard that you could however use hairspray to hold them in place in last resort.
