Claimed weight on the Maxxis site is 595 grams for the ignitor. Which is not overly heavy for a fairly knobby 2.1 tire.

Love it as a rear. Rode it today in the snow slop and it hooks up great. In lots of conditions. Wish they made a 2.4 and I'd run it in the front. Although I have tune it in the front and it was quite nice. I just like something a bit beefier on the front.

Yeah as for lighter? I think you will be hard pressed to find a tire as knobby that weighs less.

It's what I run on my XC rig for muddy races (like tomorrow). Love it.

I like the Ignitor, If they made it in 2.35 it would be my go to tyre.

I thought they were pretty light, but that's coming from a rider who rides tires 300 grams heavier on my other bikes and I'm not bothered in the least. My only complaint with them is I wish they offered them in a sticky compound to run up front.

The claimed weight is one thing, but I weighed 2 Ignitor 2.1s that weighed 736g avg. That's pretty heavy.

I weighed every Ignitor I had when it was new. There were none over 610 grams.

Yeah. I'd run the 2.3 up front and the 2.1 in the back.
