New question here. Mating Hammerschmidt with 11 speed cassette

The ultimate is shifting would be the XX1 with Hammerschidt in the front.
Has anyone tried it? How does it work?

Your lowest gear would be either 22 x 42 or 24 x 42, perfect for climbing walls and towing trucks.

Yea the 11 speed 10-42 pretty much does away with the need for that heavy crank.

I have both the 11 speed & a Hammerschmidt & thought about putting them together, But decided it would be a waste of time for me.

22x42t You get what, 6" per pedal stroke.
I crashed hard enough on my Tallboy to break my leg,
The carbon is way more durable than most people.

I have two 29er bikes, both 2 X 10. One set up with Hammerschmidt with 22 tooth chainring. Cassette is 12X36.

The other bike is similar 2X10 but with 22 and 36 up front with 12X36 out back with Wolf Tooth 42 big ring on the cassette also.

I do a lot of climbing for the joy of the downhill on loop rides or out and back. The second bike with the Wolf Tooth 42 works great on the climbs. I will probably put a 42 tooth on the first bike too as I like it so much. The big ring works and shifts great. The Hammerschmidt rig is more downhill oriented as it has a Dorado Fork.

For years now the OP has dreamed up many things that he wants explored/tested in the bike realm. He then posts up his ideas and attempts to get others to do the research for him.

Myself and many others here would like the OP to do some original research/testing and post the results. Like I have done in the link below...

Frankencrankin', Warning: very small chainring content! W/pics now

Please see post #73 in he above thread.

See all the red, while the rep system is pretty much a joke, it should tell you something, considering his slate was wiped clean and he managed all that red a second time.

He's pretty well know on here as just a troll.
