No luck selling my jabber so I thought I would take a wack at modiying for winter use. What are my options.... 2.4 in the odis fork? Use a full fat front set up..??? Fools errand?...
We put Velocity P35 rims and Mtn King 2.4 or Maxxis Ikon 2.3-depending on the season-wet or dry in the rear. The front with ODIS will do
3.0 Knard ,Maxxis 2.5 DHF or any big tire on a P35 or Dually. I am waiting for the Surly 2.75 Dirt Wizard! The perfect combo for me will be front=Dually/Dirt Wizard rear=P35 Mtn King. I mini fat sorta set up! Can be done tubeless if so inclined.
I put a Salsa Enabler fork on my Jabber and run a full size fat bike wheel/tire on the front. I have a p-35 on rear with an Ardent 2.4. It works very well.
1. Do you have photos?
2. I have a 2.2 wolverine in the back right now and it barely clears.....you must have the wheel pulled all the way back to get the 2.4's to fit; yes?
On the old jabber-yep,gotta pull way back.
On the newest version(44mm headtube) more room.Wide rim and almost forward.
With a 23ish internal rim-a 2.4 will do in the old one about 3/4 back.
No good pics, maybe on my FB @ thetruewheelwv
