    Fox 2012 vs. 2013

I need a fork for my next build. I can get a 2012 FOX RACING 32 Float 29 Fork, FIT RLC, 15QR, Tapered, 100mm. Or a 2013 Fox 32 Float Evolution CTD 29 100m Tapered, 15mm. Is the newer fork better?
I have heard a few grumblings about the 2013 model.

Either benefits from a lot of maintenance. I think Fox recalled some of the 2013 Evolution for poor valving.

Pricepoint has Manitou Towers for 250+ship.
I use that fork with a medium spring and 95psi air.

I also have abandoned fox in favor of the tower pro. Killer fork with many tuning options.

Thanks for your input. It appears that the 100mm forks are not affected by the recall and I failed to mention that I need a 51mm offset fork.

Manitou Tower Pro at pricepoint is pretty close at 48mm.
The 2014 Tower Pro models may be available optionally in 51mm(I saw a Sea Otter tag for the 29 Minute listing that), check with Manitou and see if pricepoint will get you one.

2012 Fox forks were underdamped, 2013 forks were overdamped (or maybe that's the other way around), but 2014 they supposedly got it right.

A lot of people really hate the CTD stuff too. TBH i don't think Fox is what they used to be. My Rock Shox forks feel every bit as good and they're half the maintenance. Manitou gets great reviews too. Good luck either way...
