    Fork rebuild

    Hey all,
This is my first post, although I've looked through these forums a lot. My 2006 29" Reba Race has taken a dump and stopped holding anything more than 130lbs in the negative chamber while spitting out oil from both chambers. My bike is a 2006 Fisher 293. After some research I've found that I have a choice in rebuilding shops. My choices are Hippy Tech, Risse Racing or Plush. Has anybody used any of these rebuilders? Does anybody have advice on another? So far I'm leaning towards Plush. They seem like the most compitent. The factory rebuild through them is $160 and the custom rebuild is $220. I'm a 6'4", 260lb rider so I'll probably have to go with the "custom" rebuild. Thanks.

I suggest you post this in the Shocks and Suspension forum.

I have a 2008 Reba that I've rebuilt myself a couple of times. EASY. Takes about 30 minutes. I bought a Rockshox rebuild kit and Enduro Fork Seals.
Make sure everything is spotless and use lots of lube. Come to think of it, it's coming up on a year since the last rebuild and it still feels perfect.

Thanks, I was thinking about doing it myself. I guess all I would really need is the o rings and oil? Although I've spent many years as a wrench, it has been 15 years since I've opened a fork and I'm really not that confident in doing so. If I decide to do so does anyone know where I can get all the parts I need. Rock shox no longer makes the rebuild kits.
