I run the older "Edge" AM rims on my Tallboy set up with one layer of gorilla tape, a Stans 700 rim strip with extra long valve and Stans fluid - airs up fine (I have used a CO2 cannister but it is much easier with a compressor). Have used Racing Ralph 2.4 & 2.25, Rocket Ron 2.25 & Ardent 2.25's this year with no problem - usually set up 28-32psi - I weigh 190lbs. Never had a tyre burp although I must admit I was nervous at first due to the lack of UST type rim bead hook - you just have to be a little patient at first to allow the Stans to do it's magic.
Hope this helps.
